The food was amazing, I had the scampi and I have to say it was probably the best I've ever had. Others in the group were also impressed with their food. The down sides are the restaurant area is slightly lacking in atmosphere although it is very clean and well furnished. The other downside was the door was slow but the quality of the food made up for it. I will definitely be back.

Stopped the night while house hunting in the area. We were made most welcome from the moment we arrived in the Large carpark, our room was clean and comfortable. Towels provided were large, soft and fluffy. Really lovely after a hot shower. Food was amazing and we spend a lovely evening playing Boule in the garden.

Great little find of a pub. Was a stop off on our way home from holiday and couldn't have picked much better. We had our dog with us, and he got treated as much of a patron than us with treats and his own water bowl brought to the table. We were also still seated in the main food area, not just in the bar area that you normally find. The children noticed a small play area out the back so they were happy. The staff member even shouted them in for us when the food was on the way. Would definitely stop off again if passing that way.

Had a one night stopover traveling back home from Scotland, rooms are clean but dated, but this adds to it's beauty as it is an old pub in a quiet location only a few minutes from the M6 jnc 43 A69. Food was spot on and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, we will definitely use the queen's again next time we are up this way.
