Nice calming place to eat.plently of tables outside if the weather is nice.we take the opportunity to eat outdoors it's lovely.Plus next door to the restaurant there is some ducks.you can't see them it's lovely to hear them. The menu us comprehensive.. The food is beautiful.Chips golden brown and hit .Beef lovely and tender. Everything we tasted was on point. The vegetables, chips are unlimited. Plus you can have salad and new potatoes as well. We always have salad as well. There is nothing negative about the food.Oh yes I am fussy about gravy, well the beef gravy us so nice. These chefs are wonderful. The staff are polite. Wear masks. Table service even in the garden. Perfect food and nice place . Went last week and found the waitress taken the order slow in that we said we know what we want .she said I'll be straight back with the tablet. She forgot. We have never had to wait so long to be served. Eventually I had to go to the bar and say to her can you take our order we have been waiting ages. Other people are waiting as well she replied. All the time we was waiting she was at the bar chatting with her colleagues. I assumed she must've new. Staff don't wear masks no more. Food nice . No complaints there. Always impressed with the quality of food. I was just not happy with the waiting, while the waitress obviously forgot . This is the first time this has happened and hopefully the last

Nice place for food. Main meals and starters were lovely but deserts below par. Steak was cooked correctly. No complaints

Went here for my birthday with the family, when we get together there is 13 of us, and we can get loud with laughs and jokes and lots of banter, but The Risley caters for this and staff join in and that makes it special, the food is beautiful and is all served at the same time and is hot, they will bring a cake to the table, just phone them and tell them your bringing one in, and they will take it from you on arriving, drinks are brought to your table, they get busy so don't wait till your glass is empty or you could have a 10 minute wait for your next drink, if there is only a couple ordering starters, have them brought in with the mains, it saves everybody having to wait till you have eaten, and this is so important make sure you leave space for the desserts even if you have to take it away, the puddings are gorgeous and scrumpy, all in all with drinks the cost was acceptable at just over £200, so The Risley Park is classed as ££ value for money, and at the end of the meal don't forget to tip the waiter/waitress, after all the have answered to your every whim for the last 1.5hr to 2hr.......

This pub could be so nice but instead it’s neglected and in desperate need of some TLC window boxes full of weeds, nub ends all over the Astro turf outside around the tables, no nice coffees as the machine has broken and worst of all no cocktails anymore due to the machine being broken. The prices for drinks are expensive and don’t reflect the state of the pub itself. It’s a real shame no effort is being made as it could be a little gold mine and staff are really nice.

Having booked we arrived early and were still made welcome with seats by the fire. Food and service did not disappoint. We will return.
