Home from an amazing carvery, food was delicious, choice of four meats, several vegetables, new potatoes and the most tastiest roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, gravy, crackling and sauces. Services was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and the food just kept on coming. A must try! Thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon! We will be back 😊

Lovely food, home cooked and well worth the wait. Dropped in off the A34 for a walk round the area and fix wished off at this gorgeous country pub. Highly recommend. We'll be back!

On a rainy Tuesday evening in April I called in The Rose and Crown whilst staying in the local area for work, looking for some food and hospitality. Despite the fact I was the only person in the pub and food wasn’t being served, landlord Shay rustled me up some outstanding Irish stew and a couple of fine ales along with free pool and intelligent conversation 🙂 A proper pub, use it or lose it

This is the quintessential country pub, excellent food, excellent staff and very fast service. We came for a Sunday carvery and the choice of meats and array of vegetables was brilliant. The staff couldn't of been more helpful in accommodating my 8 month old nephew with a high chair and some special attention If you're in the South of England and want to experience a nice country pub, then this is the one to choose. Several ales and lagers on tap.

Great village pub we stumbled upon by accident when they weren't serving food at the nearby garden centre. Very friendly and obliging landlord who kindly made sandwiches and fries when we didn't want a main meal. Will definitely be going back there again!
