Situated on the A354 between the county town of Dorchester and the North Dorset market town of Blandford. The Royal Oak can be found in the traditional Dorset village of Milborne St Andrew. The pub’s location makes it popular with walkers, locals & tourists alike.

This pub may not look much from the outside but once you enter you are greeted my Victoria( a credit to the industry) who is so welcoming, then comes the food, wow its like fine dining. I had the belly pork and I'm going to say it I thought it had been cooked by Gordon Ramsey. Well worthy of a Michelin Star or 2 its that good. Do yourself a favour drop in sometime you will not regret it.Tuesday 5th April 2022

Lisa Spanos5 StarVisited the Royal Oak during a family break to celebrate my daughters 30th birthday. There were 27 of us including 9 children (8 under 3 years old) and the staff couldn’t have been more accommodating. We booked out the room at the back which was well equipped to entertain the children from building blocks to a play kitchen and art. There was also a lovely courtyard and play park. The food was fantastic. The Sunday lunch lived up to it name with lots of choice and quality of food with plenty of meat. Very tasty. The staff were so friendly especially our server Lauren who did a great job putting up with us all. Would definitely recommend and will be returning when we’re next in the area. Phil Warren5 StarFab pub, fab food, good value for money! Excellent menu and wonderful service. Always make a point of stopping in several times when down on holiday. The Oak really is a little gem that you must check out for yourself! Wonderful Sunday roast and we are already looking forward to returning. Stephen Cassidy5 StarCan't argue with the claim to be the best roast in Dorset, as we haven't tried every one. However, we have been to many and The Royal Oak is at least equal to the best that we have tried. Excellent value, very generous and dog friendly. Booking recommended for good reason, as we saw a few that hadn't booked that only had the option of eating in the garden. Thank you for an excellent lunch, a friendly welcome and great service.
