The Sparrow Brewers Fayre pub restaurant in Warwickshire
Our team
Surrounded by countryside views and only a short drive away from Coombe Country Park, The Sparrow Brewers Fayre is ideal when you’re looking for great places to eat in Coventry. Tuck into all kinds of delicious dishes when you visit – our friendly, diverse team will be waiting to welcome you, whatever the occasion! Each year, we set ourselves a fundraising target for Great Ormond Street Hospital. In 2021, we managed to raise over £1000, and our GOSH champion visited the hospital shortly after to see the fantastic work that the teams do there. We walk, run and cycle all year round to raise money, and guests are more than welcome to support us! Fun fact about our restaurant – The Sparrow was actually built back in the 1950s and even after our 2020 refurbishment, you can still see some of the beautiful original art deco features.
Our location
You’ll love the location of The Sparrow Brewers Fayre when you’re looking for family restaurants near Coventry. We’re right on the outskirts of the village of Ansty, serving up our mouth-watering meals just a five-minute drive from the Ansty Golf Centre and the Coombe Country Park, and just a 20-minute drive away from all the best attractions in Coventry city centre, which was named UK City of Culture in 2021. Coombe Fields is steeped in history. The area was originally a farm dating back to at least 1813. In the 1930s, some of the farmland turned into an airfield before becoming a factory developing the engines for Britain’s only orbital rocket! Rolls-Royce acquired the land in the 1970s, and car enthusiasts will love the area we’ve dedicated to the famous company in our restaurant with pictures donated by the Rolls-Royce Heritage Trust.
Why we love Coventry
When it comes to cultural UK breaks, the vibrant city of Coventry has something to keep all ages entertained. Whether you’re exploring historic landmarks like Coventry Cathedral, getting a taste of local culture at the Herbert Art Gallery & Museum, or enjoying days out with the kids at the Drayton Manor Theme Park, our restaurant is close to all the best things to do in Warwickshire.
