Based Near Chard, Somerset, The Squirrel Inn is a welcoming pub that serves a variety of ales, lagers, ciders, and wines as well as some homemade food. There is a log burner and open fire creating a cosy and relaxing atmosphere. For entertainment, we have a dart board, pool table, and jukebox, while our spacious function room can be hired for free. As a community-based pub, we take pride in maintaining competitive prices for our food and drinks, while we are also both family- and dog-friendly. The Squirrel Inn is a member of the British Institute of Innkeeping (BII) and the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB).

I can't see why there are any negative reviews regarding service! We've been here a few times, as it's one of the closest pubs to us. All staff are really friendly and very helpful. We also find the regular customers very friendly, even the first time we dropped in. There is a great pub menu, all very well priced and separate Gluten Free and Vegetarian menus. They have a separate fryer for the GF food too, which isn't very common. We had two meals, a large G&T, plus a pint of coke for me (driving) - all for £25, which I thought was very good value. Very extensive Gin list at great prices. Soft drinks not the usual rediculous prices either. Often music at weekends - lots dressed in 70s disco gear this evening! Fabulous view in the garden. Dog friendly.

Called in late, yet the staff/management were friendly and accommodating. We were able to order drinks & a meal which was delicious. We will happily visit again. Also the views are stunning.

The squirrel is a about 30 mins walk from our village and we have been there a few times now, we really like it. Its a simple setup, nothing flash (i dont mean that in a bad way), the staff are really friendly and the food is absolutely lovely and great value. If you go on a nice day, the views from the garden area are just stunning and its so peaceful
