The Stadium Theatre School

Established in 2010, we are a part-time and weekend theatre school for young people aged 5 to 19. We offer classes in dance, drama, singing and musical theatre at our theatre school on Saturdays and Street Dance classes on Thursdays. The students gain confidence and self-esteem as well as important performance skills for the stage that they will carry through life – all in a fun and safe environment. Let's just say on Saturday mornings, Stadium is about the only thing that can get my girls out of bed without fuss! That's how much they love it. And I have seen them thrive and increase in confidence in just over a year. Michael and all the staff there are amazing! Worth every penny and I highly recommend! My son has been a part of the The Stadium Theatre School family now for 7 years and absolutely loves it! Seven years ago, my son showed an interest in the performing arts field and I also wanted to build his confidence/resilience. Not only did he become more confident at The Stadium, he grew with talent because of The Stadium’s amazing team of professionals. Through Stadium’s Agency, my son also has had the opportunity to be in a global Disney Commercial and an independent film. My son has taken part in many performances in the community as well with The Stadium. Not only did he build confidence and talent, my son made so many friends for life. I highly recommend The Stadium Theatre School; the team goes above and beyond to make sure your child is happy, confident, successful and having fun- with family values to boot! This is a very popular style of dance that the kids will love. Classes always start with a warm up to music. The warm up is high energy and will work on building stamina, strength and flexibility. This is followed by exercises and games to work on focus and co-ordination. Students then learn a challenging routine to music. Within the class the students will continue to develop their co-ordination, strength, flexibility, stamina, rhythm, dynamics, balance and performance. After a warm up students are divided into groups and engage in dance, drama, singing lessons. Dance develops coordination, rhythm, flexibilty and balance through learning jazz, street and musical theatre dance routines. Drama explores creativity through improvisation and role-play, improving vocabulary and diction and encouraging the students to use their imagination. Singing incorporates a vocal warm up plus singing techniques which caters for a range of abilities such as creating songs and different rhythms for the younger Yellow group versus working on harmonies, up-to-date pop and musical theatre songs for the older Red and Blue groups.

Stadium school is just great! My daughter has enjoyed going to Street dance lessons for 2 years now. It has given her a confidence boost she needed. Micheal is a fantastic, dedicated teacher. It's a pleasure watching him work with kids. You can tell he loves what he does!

My Son has attended The Stadium Theatre School now for around six years. Since my son has attended this school I have witnessed my sons confidence come on in every aspect. The teachers are enthusiastic and caring and really do encourage the children to express themselves with confidence.

My Daughter has attended the Stadium Theatre school since she was 4 years old & it now 12. This school is place the kids can be themselves & gain confidence in all aspects of theatre. My daughter has grown so much & has gone onto perform in West end shows. Would absolutely recommend this theatre school.
