Found this little gem with needing to stay for the night with going to the modified nationals the next day. The rooms were lovely and clean. It’s nice and quiet. The staff on the bar were polite, professional and welcoming. The surrounding were absolutely stunning country/rural right up my street absolutely loved only down fall we didn’t stop long enough! We will definitely see you soon! Thank you!

This review us about the chalet rooms - not the pub. We stayed for 4 nights, booked in for 5, but really could not stand another night. The room was a family room - twin double beds, but only had one chair. No breakfast was available, as there was no one around until the pub opened. This meant we had to either go out in the car to find something, or buy stuff the evening before to eat in the morning - there were no facilities to store food in the room though. We were provided with a kettle and 2 teabags for the entire stay, so we had to buy a buy a box of teabags so we could have a drink each morning. We also had to buy a bottle of washing-up liquid so we could wash up the mugs each day. No one came in to clean the rooms during the stay. There were no facilities for keeping the room or bathroom clean either. There was only one bin in the room, and no bins in the bathroom, which would have been unpleasant had there been a need to use sanitary products. When I booked I was given to understand there was a garden view- there was a view of a brick wall behind a bit of land used as a car park. To be fair the room was cheap, but I had thought that was because it was a last minute deal - we booked just a couple of days before we went. The pub itself was nice enough, it is worth trying the pizza. The staff are friendly.

Booked two short stays for relations. On both occasions, they said the rooms were warm, clean, and well presented. They both enjoyed the food too. They said they were more than happy to stay again. Personally, it's a total turn around glad to see the place on the up and receiving posituve reviews.
