The Walled Garden Community Shop and Cafe

We are a community shop and café, located in the beautiful village of Little Plumstead, in Norfolk. Our address is Old Hall Road, Little Plumstead, Norfolk, NR13 5FA 

Parking and secure cycle storage are available. If you would like to visit to shop for essentials, enjoy our café or explore the Victorian walled garden, come and see us today! Dogs are welcome on the terrace and in the garden as long as they are on leads (assistance dogs only are allowed in the cafe and shop).

Parking

There is plenty of parking available in the community car park next to the church on Ronald Brown Drive (less than a one-minute walk from The Walled Garden). We have very limited parking at The Walled Garden itself so please leave these spaces for elderly and disabled customers. Please be courteous to our fellow residents and do not park on the road outside The Walled Garden - thank you!

Volunteers needed!

Our shop, cafe and garden rely on volunteers - even if you can only spare a few hours a week, your contribution will help to provide a much needed community service. Find out more by watching our video made by volunteer Simon Curtis:

Help us build a Victorian-style greenhouse

With your support, we will be reintroducing a Victorian-style greenhouse to our beautiful walled garden. We have had some very generous donations so far and have been fundraising over the past year with plant sales, open garden schemes and fayres - but now we need your help to reach our goal and make this happen! Thank you to everyone who donated to our Crowdfunder - we raised £1,295. If you’d still like to make a donation, pop into the shop or cafe and speak to a member of staff.

Shop opening times:

Monday to Saturday: 8am to 6pm

Sunday: 10am to 4pm

Cafe opening times:

Monday to Saturday: 9am to 4pm

Sunday: 10am to 3pm

This was our first visit and we were very impressed. It is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Lovely coffee and toasted teacakes. We look forward to seeing the gardens in a few weeks when the gardens are in bloom.

We have been visiting this cafe, since our grandson was born two years ago and have loved seeing it develop. Our grandson loves running around the pathways and playing with the wooden toys and painted pebbles. Everyone is so friendly and the coffee and cakes are great. Definitely a favourite place.

Lovely place. A hidden gem. Helpful, friendly staff and a good selection of light snacks. Perfect for a spring morning coffee stop. Definitely a place to come back to and see what they're doing with the Victorian greenhouse!
