Sandy Tracey5 StarBest Sunday Roast we’ve had in a pub for years. Lovely pub in a beautiful location with friendly staff Not overpriced either. We’ve just moved to the area and will definitely be returningWednesday 7th September 2022
Chris Hookham5 StarWas staying in the area and they turned out to be a fantastic choice for a Sunday evening meal. Opted for one the roasts and was not disappointed. Perfectly cooked meat with an enormous serving of delicious veg. Very much recommended.Monday 22nd August 2022
Jackie Mitchell3 StarDistinctly average food. The pub is as you would expect for somewhere a couple hundred years old. Dark wood, low ceilings. I'm sure quite cozy in the winter tho. The food was very average and I'm not sure worthy of a costly night out, as eating out now is so much more expensive than a year ago. We were meeting family and looked for somewhere we could meet up for a half decent meal. The food read and felt like typical pub 'ping' meals tho I understand the pub prides itself in cooking fresh. We had Fish 'n chips, burgers, ham and eggs. All main ingredients were tasty but lacked imagination and the trimmings tasted like they were frozen veg and chips rather than fresh. There's one daily special which one of our party had but said it wasn't very nice. Desserts were nice: apple crumble, lemon Tarte, cheesecake. They are welcoming of dogs which is nice and the owner was very pleasant. I hope they find a way to stand out more obviously from the ping meal crowd to become a choice destination.Wednesday 8th June 2022
Pauls Fretwell5 StarLovely stay here, would highly recommend for anyone staying in the area and a short drive to Cromer. Very comfortable bed, quiet location, spotlessly clean throughout and very friendly staff team. Meals were delicious and the service was speedy. Full marks!Monday 8th August 2022
Sharon Wood5 StarDiscovered this lovely place by accident. It is amazing, dog friendly, including rooms that you can stay in with your dog, and the food, including the vegetarian options, is to die for. Highly recommend!Thursday 4th August 2022
