We’ve been instrumental in bringing positive change to the UK waterproofing market. We have decades of experience in repairing and preventing issues of timber decay and infestation, in everything from modern homes to historic listed timber frame structures (much of our work is in listed buildings).  Our Surveying and design team is headed by our in-house MRICS chartered building Surveyor, and our joiners can implement a range of traditional and modern repairs to suit any situation and structure. Dampness in buildings can occur for a variety of reasons including condensation, driving rain, penetrating dampness, rising dampness, leaking drains, bridging plaster & render, high external ground levels, hygroscopic salt contamination, defective DPC’s & DPM’s and blocked cavities, to name a few.  It’s vital to identify cause in determining rectification, we undertake detailed inspection and provide details advice and recommendation.   “I couldn't recommend Trace Remedial enough. Excellent, professional service. We recommend Trace without hesitation. Trace was employed, to assess the extent of damp problems on a house we were considering purchasing. A competitor was also employed for comparison and to give confidence. Both were given identical written briefs, and both had been recommended to us. The house comprised an old farmhouse enveloped by a contemporary build and was therefore structurally, and from a damp proofing perspective, complex. Trace excelled in the professionalism of the approach, level of detail that they went into and the quality of their report. They also correctly identified multiple issues that their competitor failed to recognise (despite the competitor being more expensive). Rory, who undertook the survey and James, company Director and second-generation family owner of the business, spent additional time discussing their report and findings with us, helping us to fully understand, in a balanced manner, the extent of the issues, the limitations of their investigation (it was not intrusive), the potential future risks, and the range of likely costs of rectification. Trace was professional and charming to deal with. They exceeded expectations and left their competitor standing in terms of quality and capability.
