The Trewern Arms near Newport is a picturesque rural 16th century Inn with nine ensuite bedrooms, situated on the banks of the River Nevern in the beautiful village of Nevern.  It is the perfect base to explore the Pembrokeshire National Park, near to Carningli & the beautiful Preseli Mountains, and the breathtaking coastal path.

The hotel boasts a riverside restaurant, informal bar, a beautiful garden and a large function room. We prepare all of our food freshly to order, and try to use local suppliers where possible some of which are based in Cardigan, Fishguard & Newport.

The Trewern Arms is easily accessible by road, rail or sea, being only 9 miles from the main ferry port and railhead of Fishguard to the south, which is itself on the A40, and Cardigan to the north. The village of Nevern is a five minute drive or a 45 minute riverside woodland walk from the fishing town of Newport, in north Pembrokeshire.

There is fantastic fishing on the River Nevern, just across the road from the Hotel and some of the best walks in West Wales around the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park or Preseli Mountains.

For your convenience the Trewern Arms Hotel has free wi-fi throughout (albeit with a characteristically 'rural' internet connection).

Love this place, our second visit. Lovely rooms, have everything you need. Welcoming staff, especially Kim who served breakfast. Always so efficient and friendly. She knew the area so well. Lots of good advice on our walks. Can definitely recommend it.

Stumbled across this pub and what a lovely find. Traditional old style pub with plenty of comfy seating. Staff were very efficient and everso friendly. We had the homemade pork burgers which was lovely and the chips were chunky and gorgeous

Gorgeous food. New menu since we came a couple of years ago. Amazing choice of real food for children (not just chips with anything). Also fantastic choice for vegans with very tasty food and more than one choice on the menu which is rare!

Food was good (amazing chips) and generous portions, with a good range of ales and ciders. Lovely to sit in the garden on a sunny day. Go back in time indoors though, the pub must have some memories made here! Well worth a visit.
