This year Troon celebrates a landmark 30 years. In the past decades retail has become a challenging industry: contemporary clothing particularly so. There have been many highs and lows over the years, most notably as we have remained true to our original values and goals in personal service.

What lies ahead? We are together at Troon, hopeful and determined. As always, we face the future with care, a generosity of spirit and as much terrier resilience as we can muster. It is not going to be quick or easy. We have been here before, albeit on a much smaller scale and without the now urgent issues of climate change and equality.

We believe that our product, our offering, is relevant and important, not least now for healing, recovery and starting over. With patience, kindness and with plenty of fun along the way, we hope to win through, and let’s face it, we do have some lovely clothes and a hearty and joyous instore experience on offer.

Our round shop in Edinburgh New Town and our period piece on King’s Parade in Cambridge continue to house a unique and eclectic mix of designer clothing and accessories for all ages, sizes and budgets.

If you are after timeless elegance, quality, and variety of styles this wonderful boutique is for you. Every time I shop there I am offered plenty of personalized options to pick from (all of which met the requirements of my wardrobe which is no easy ordeal!). The wonderful shopkeeper knows her inventory, brands, and trends inside and out! She also gives insightful styling and care recommendations for each piece. There is absolutely no pressure to purchase anything. For me, this is a very special boutique because clothing items do last and with them do the memories of genuine care and love for the craft of fashion. Ah, and of course, there is no chance you will end up wearing the same outfit as somebody else in the room. Thank you, Troon Cambridge!

Great example of independent boutique! Visiting Cambridge and came across Troon. What a fantastic find. A really great collection of women's clothing to suit all shapes and sizes. Suzanna (the manager) brings that perfect mix of really helpful without putting you under any kind of pressure. She give really honest advice too! The labels carried are higher end although not unachievable but my word the quality and styling show. It's just so lovely to find something 'different' label wise. Love shopping in Troon. Their new Autumn collection is great. It's cheap to park at the moment and Cambridge and Kings Parade are very quiet. I feel safe shopping in a smaller shop rather than the large department stores.

I have been shopping here, for a number of years now, and feel very at home here! The staff have become more like friends, rather than assistants. I love the friendly atmosphere, and the great, and honest advice I receive. I have built up a wonderful wardrobe. This is a favourite clothing shop of mine. The brands are great, varied in style and price points. The staff are wonderful! Excellent advice, opinions and assistance, getting sizes in especially where needed. Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere - well worth a visit.
