Firstly I would like to say Victoria House is a lovely, homely loving home which cares for the elderly. Secondly I would like to say you should never believe everything you read on ratings from people online eg: Carl Martin - never met him nor do we know anything about him. Kelly Coats and Georgie Lee who get points/credits for their reviews for money who I have never met or know of. Lastly, I would like to Victoria House is a small care home who go the extra mile to provide excellent care.

My mother in law has just passed away after 6 wonderful months at Victoria House Care Home. She was 97 and had a beautiful room with en suite, she said the food was really nice and the staff all went above and beyond to make her stay there as safe and comfortable as possible. We can’t fault the home at all and are very grateful to all the staff for making her last few months so enjoyable.

What a truly dreadful place. When you arrive you will see the poor state of the building. There is no stimulation or activities whatsoever. Patients to my knowledge were never allowed out and pretty much left to their own devices. The owner should be utterly ashamed thank goodness our mother is no longer in there.

Would give zero stars if possible. 3k a month for palliative care. Takes them 4 days to get a nurse to redress a wound. Damp, dirty laundry left for days at a time to fester. Relative fell out of bed and wasn't reported accordingly. Absolute insult to the profession.

Residential flats with off road parking, stayed in a relatives spacious ground floor flat, nice quiet surroundings even though the main road into Alford is out front of building.
