A very nice visit to a great community pub. Attractive pub and good outside seating. Excellent staff, warm friendly helpful and quick with good knowledge. Food menu varied frequently with specials, very fair proves and freshly cooked.. Choice of pie sizes, smaller is adequate for normal appetite, cajon chicken and rib combo with salad slaw and fries great all round. Good choice of beers and ciders, Attached community shop great and useful.

I am in mixed thoughts about this place. Lovely location and love the real pub feel. Sadly the execution could have been better. Staff were generally ok. However the lady with blonde hair and glasses sitting on here head could benefit from some customer service training. Overall it felt a bit disorganised and lacked leadership. Lots of staff, lack of direction. A few things were wrong with our order. Burgers were well received but the roast was average. Some real potential here but they ain’t quite there yet.

We’re motorhoming retirees, too, touring the regions tasting the local cuisine and culture as we go! We had a late Sunday roast meal which was very tasty with some well looked after ales, too. Chose a time not to overcrowd the car park, enjoyed walking to the river, and getting out in February!

A lovely community run pub with friendly, local staff that made stopping here an absolute joy. We could park our motorhome in the car park for the night. The lovely and enthusiastic Jess told us about great local walks and made us feel really welcome. A small community shop is attached to the pub. We sat in the beer garden until the sun went down and enjoyed some lovely lite bites and a few pints.
