Wild Oaks Early Learning Centre

Education begins at birth; we recognise the key role parents play as their children's first educators and parent's commitment to their children early education. Our services respect and value children and parents’ individual differences and celebrate ethnic, linguistic and cultural diversity. We aim to be flexible and responsive to the needs of all local children and their extended families and want to create a setting that is warm, welcoming, and happy and reflects the needs of the community. We want to be a strong advocate for children and families, encourage children to have a voice, involve parents in their children' learning, be a place for community development and community learning and enable children to maximise their health, well-being and life opportunities. In each of our settings we have developed a space that has a calm relaxed feel to the play space with areas for children to retreat and get comfortable or cosy. The children look happy, smile or laugh easily, engage spontaneously in chatting or even singing. There is a relaxed and inner peace. Children have a relaxed and open expression; they do not feel wary or uncomfortable in any way. The vitality in children’s body language is strong, their chest and head is high and not slouched. Their expressions are radiant and bright. Children are then confident in their own self and abilities.
