I bought a second hand sewing machine and overlocker from this shop and the customer service since has been first class. I rang after a couple of months to say I thought I was missing some parts (it turned out I had them) and they didn't even remotely quibble and offered to order anything that was missing. I also haven't used my overlocker yet as I haven't had one before and they've offered to give me a follow up demonstration/tutorial whenever I need it, no matter how long since I bought it. They really know their stuff and no matter what you ask, they know the answer to. I really appreciate their attitude and I will be going back for sure. Well done!

Brought my sewing machine in for repair and was told it may be more expensive to repair than replace. They suggested I leave it for a service so they could assess how much a repair would cost and that I should here from them in about a week. 2 weeks later, having heard nothing, I popped in and was told it hadn't been looked at yet but would be looked at next week. A week passes again with no update, so I called on Saturday and was told it still hasn't been looked at, but was assured it would be looked at on Monday. I went in the following Saturday and was told parts has been ordered. Another 2 weeks pass and I went in again to find out had been repaired and would cost £66. At no point had a price been discussed with me, and considering I could have bought a new machine for a similar price, I might not have gone ahead with the repairs had I known. Thoroughly unimpressed with the delay, lack of communication and going ahead with work without authorisation or discussion of price. Safe to say I won't be going there again.

Very knowledgeable on the machines they sell, fantastic at fixing problems but not hugely knowledgeable on all the haberdashery items which the owner admitted to me but still helped me find something to do the job.

One of the worst machine servicing experiences ever. I took my overlocker in as it was having problems. They said they would have a look and service it, and let me know. Two weeks go by and I haven't had a response so I call up only to be told it's not been looked at yet (very rudely too, as though I was making an unreasonable request!) Two days later I get a call saying it's done and needs to be picked up. I explained I work in London during the week so can come on Saturday to collect it (the date was Tuesday) and am told no it must be collected ASAP as it's "taking up space". Considering they had let it sit for over two weeks, I was annoyed that this was now a problem! I explained there was no way for me to collect it so they would have to wait. Went in on Saturday to collect, the shop was a mess. Machines all over the floor and not at all neat. My machine was returned to me and the cost was £150 for an overlocker "service" and replace of the blade. The thing was only worth £90! They never discussed price with me and I knew it would be a bit but for over £75 they should really let customers know before they start work! The machine still had problems after that point as they didn't screw the blade back in correctly and I really struggled to do it myself. A total waste of time. I will now make the journey to Kent for any machine servicing as I know the guys in Tunbridge Wells do their job properly.

They serviced a vintage knitting machine I had just purchased. They were helpful and efficient. My machine runs so smoothly now. I am very happy with their work.
