Welcome to Woodland Hall

Our modern purpose-built care home in Stanmore, Greater London is set in a leafy residential area. Our dedicated team provides short respite stays as well as permanent residential, nursing and dementia care.

Woodland Hall has a hair salon, plus sensory and therapy rooms. Lounges, dining rooms and quiet rooms are dotted about the home for everyone’s use.

All of the 72 bedrooms at Woodland Hall have en-suite facilities and each has a 24-hour nurse call system, plus phone and television connections. Many of our rooms offer great views of our gardens, and everywhere is wheelchair-accessible. Our outdoor spaces are popular in warm weather and thanks to the woodland surrounding the home, there’s always lots of wildlife to watch.

I started working for Woodland Hall in mid-2020 during the pandemic. Not exactly a great time to start a new job in a Care Home, however my colleagues and the Manager Team at Woodlands are very supportive and encouraging, even when they are under immense pressure from dealing with the pandemic and keeping staff, family members and residents safe and well. If you do what you are asked, are flexible and understanding, that everyone is in it together, you could not wish to have a better bunch of people to work with. Definitely glad I joined Woodland Hall and looking forward to returning to some sort of normality.

My mother was there for just 3 weeks, when she came home she was 1 not washed (smelled) 2 had a massive blister on her foot 3 had bruises on her back 4 had missing personal effects And ended back into hospital, Ola was very rude to me and my wife when confronted with this! Do not send anyone there!

My Mother died while staying at this nursing home. With 3 next of kin numbers on there books, they failed to notify us of any difficulties. We found out 8 hours later. I strongly advise against having your loved ones stay here.

This is not a place I would ever recommend for anyone you really care about. My experience was with the exception of two very caring senior nurses who did their best in a very poor environment, a shambles from beginning to the sad end. Form bringing in my daying mother to the removal of her body, I met with very amateur , badly motivated junior staff and a shambolic management. The home employed a G.P by name only and the final insult was having to chase him to provide a death certificate which, if left unaltered, would have resulted in a post mortem. It took hours and was extremely stressful. I have no real experience of other homes which the NHS approve, but there is something very wrong with the this system of care.
